This citrus fruit – orange is rich in vitamin C, which prevents the sick during the winter, for example. However, delicious oranges have the ability to help with weight loss and positive influence on the overall health of the organism. They are perfect for hot summer days. Considering this, this raw cake with oranges is the perfect refreshing treat full of vitamins.
The ingredients that you will need for this raw orange cake, are:
Chocolate cake base
You will need:
- 2 cups of almonds
- 2 tablespoons of coconut oil (room temperature)
- 4 tablespoons of honey
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
Cream of orange
- 2.5 cups of cashew nuts. Cashew nuts have been in water for at least 3 h, before using it
- 3 tablespoons of coconut oil (room temperature)
- 2/3 cups of honey or less according to taste
- grated peel of 3 oranges
- fresh orange juice – from 3 oranges
How to make chocolate substrate
Chop almonds finer. If you can’t chop almonds then use almond flour. Added to the almonds, cocoa powder and coconut oil, which was at room temperature. All mix well to obtain a homogeneous, compact mixture. Therefore with your fingers, imprinted the chocolate substrate on the bottom of the mold for the cake.
How to make a Cream of orange:
In a blender, mix all ingredients until the mixture is smooth. If it is too dense and the blender does not rotate, add some orange juice, but not too much because it will be too thin and creams may not be nice to consolidate. Pour the cream on the chocolate substrate and leave in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
